    CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) INFORMATION UPDATE 41

    Governor Murphy has paused New Jersey’s reopening at Stage 2.  Governor Murphy has expressed concerns of the spread of COVID-19 in other states, and has paused re-opening, particularly related to indoor activities.  They are observing what is happening in other states and looking at New Jersey’s data.  Pennsylvania has pulled back on indoor dining.   New Jersey’s rate of transmission was reported to be 1.11 today, which is higher than the administration would like. When the state decided to move to Stage 1 of reopening, NJ was at .81 and it was .70 when Stage 2 started.
